That's a screenshot taken after full launch ...

Boot-modes

The next screens show the program moa.exe in action. It is a shell-swapper and controlcenter for the VMware LiveCD.

The screen shows a finished launch on a system with a "friendly local disk" - usually this will be your USB-traveldisk.

The four vmdk-slots are empty - as it is not necessary to load any vmdks with additional programs as you run all programs or VMs from your traveldisk.

The 5 big buttons select the shell you want to use ...

Explorer
Cmd
Ghost
VMplayer
Workstation

At the moment no Source or Reference for P2V is loaded.

Last command run:
show_ips (right click on the big start button)

This time the system was launched on a box without a friendly local disk.
VMware and profiles are loaded into RAMdrive.
The first vmdk-slot is used for a disk with a bunch of programs that you can use in read-and-write mode.

Nic 1 is VMware Virtual Nic VMnet1 - IP preconfigured

Nic 2 is VMware Virtual Nic VMnet8 - IP preconfigured

Nic 3 is a physical one - configured by selecting a profile at boot-time.

Right-click

Do noy use the Shutdown from the Windows-startmenu - it will not work. Please use these options instead

Use this for all network-configurations, like mapping drives, setting IPs, switching hostname ...

Clears the directory R:\redos

Clears the directory R:\temp

4 ways to mount a vmdk - you can drag files into the empty box and then use right-click on the button to mount the disk.

This selects which partition of the vmdk you want to use

To close a disk select it by right-clicking the disk-icon

Close and clear unmounts the disk and clears the drag'n'drop box so that you can use it for another vmdk ...
