how to use it

The ZIP-file contains three Windows console executables.

ddtget.exe
ddtset.exe
vmreport.exe

ddtget.exe extracts the disk descriptor from a monolithicSparse disk and writes it to a file

Usage: ddtget.exe -vmdk=diskfile -desc=descriptorfile

ddtset.exe injects a disk decriptor into a monolithicSparse disk

Usage: ddtset.exe -vmdk=diskfile -desc=descriptorfile

Both tools show a short help when called without arguments.
Make a backup of the disk before using these tools!

vmreport.exe creates a report useful for debugging.
Usage: simply copy the executable to the VM directory and execute it.
This creates a file called vmreport.txt.

When called with the --help options vmreport.exe shows a short help.
